Hi, My name is Margaret O’Brien, I am a Master Medical Herbalist, Iridologist and Nutritionist and former biomedical research scientist. I live in Connemara in Co. Galway, near the Western Way, which is a long-distance trail in Ireland. It is 179 kilometres long and begins in Oughterard, County Galway and ends in Ballycastle, County Mayo. I love herbs, plants, flowers, insects, birds, animals and the environment. My perfect day involves going for walks with my dogs, taking my camera and being inspired by all aspects of wild Ireland. Other interests include natural healing, nutrition, food fermentation, historical and herbal folklore, natural skincare, chemical-free cosmetic, cleaning, household and gardening natural products, wild gardening, growing all kinds of herbs and other bee-loving flowers.
